Research
New York Institute of Technology is pleased to invite applications for the ninth annual Mini-Research Grant Award (MRGA). Applications can be submitted from November 15, 2025 – January 11, 2026 for funding the cost of research materials and related expenses pertaining to a high school research project proposal or a continuing project in STEM and related disciplines. Proposals may be submitted with intention to pursue in spring or fall 2026. The amount of the award is $300. Awards will be announced the week of January 26, 2026. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will the research work be pursued in spring 2026 (February-June 2026) or fall 2026 (September-December 2026)?*
In students' own words, provide a research proposal in 400 words or less. There must be a minimum of 100 words written in this section.
Proposal must include: introduction, objective, methods (planned or in progress), and significance or potential impact.
